just reminding everyone that “on point” and “_____ game strong” are both terms originating in AAVE and therefore are not appropriate for white people to use. i see these phrases used in a lot of selfies that i reblog so yeah just a general public service announcement.

Wait I’m really sorry please explain why slang originated by African Americans is wrong to use if you’re not African American? I understand we’re the priviledged class here but at the same time it’s not offensive language, it’s slang that originated in a subset of America and branched out? It’s not reclaimed slurs or anything, it’s just a type of slang? If we control who can and cannot say things that are entirely inoffensive aren’t we stifling our language? And aren’t we singling out a group of people and saying they’re inherently different and therefore we can’t use anything they made up themselves? I don’t see how privilege is involved here? Because we aren’t talking about slurs we’re just talking about use of language?
And please can a POC or African American tell me why not another white sj crusader please?

alpha-beta-gamer:

Chambara is a unique first person deathmatch game where the whole world is only viewed in two colors, with no shadows, shading or lighting effects to highlight the players.  This means that the players blend in with the background (as long as they’re the matching colour) able to hide in plain sight and ambush other players.

The binary color system of Chambara is a fantastic concept, that makes your positioning in 3D space critical, as you can effectively be invisible from one angle, but vulnerable from another.  The game features split-screen play for up to 4 players, which works wonderfully, especially with players sneaking a peek at other players screens, trying to figure out where they are.  It’s like a very stylish game of hide and seek where you don’t have to hide behind objects - you can hide right in front of them.
